There's just one problem... I'm in a lease.... they won't buy me out of it, will they? Because honestly I totally would consider it.

It's just a ploy to get you in the door and spend money.

It's a scam to get you into the dealership. Don't waste your time going to the dealership the 3 hours of your time is not worth the $20 gift card. If you honestly think that they cannot find a Honda civic to sell that they absolutely need to buy yours then you deserve to be fooled. I get a letter like that every 3 months or so. You will go to the dealership and they will have 20 civics lined up there and it's total BS.

A dealership CAN buy you out of a lease, however, it can be very costly. The other issue is this is genuinely a scam. It's just a ploy to get you into the dealership where they will likely bait/switch you into something that isn't what you want. It's just a tactic to get you into something that has been sitting on their lot for far too long wit a lot of incentives on it. It's likely not even something you will like.

All leases have buyout values. If you are truly interested, call or email your lease/finance co, and get the current buyout/payoff value for the car, including any/all penalties. Then contact the dealer over the phone, reference the letter and see if the amount they are willing to pay will cover the loan.
However, as others have stated, this is a cleverly worded bit of fakery designed to trick you into the dealership. In some cases, even if you are underwater (owe more than the worth of the car) the dealer/finance co can roll the shortfall into a new loan if your credit is good. Take care if you end up considering this option, as it can end as a downward debt spiral where you keep adding debt against assets worth less and less.
TLDR; Scam, but deals can be worked out if you are jonesing for another car, and the money works.

I pretty much figured that. I was just confused because I had a lease so it seemed kinda pointless.

This is what sales guys call a lead generation tactic.
I don't really care for this one in particular, it's a little too dishonest. I can nearly guarantee that there is no buyer "searching for your car" though.

Exactly... How hard is it to find a Civic lx automatic Sedan? But the fact I'm in a lease is what confused me So much

I used to get these for my Corolla and my girlfriend got them when the car was hers. As others have stated, it's a ploy to get you in to the dealership and possibly into a new loan (but you leased so this makes less sense). I think Car Buying did a post on these letters not long ago.
Speaking of Car Buying and leasing, Tavarish will get on your case and tell you you're an idiot for leasing because you could have gotten a used luxury car for less.

Yeah, it's just a sales tactic. I sold my 2010 Nissan cube in 2012, I STILL get letters from the Nissan dealer in desperate need of my car. Yet if they just checked the registration records they'd see I haven't owned the car in three years!
